Project 1. Upgradation of Vocational Training Center

Establishment of Women Training Centre for poor & small farmers in Baltistan. Different Training courses been conducted including  of Embroidery, Stitching, Tailoring and  advance productive and diversified  Agriculture techniques in 5 Union Councils in Shigar. 3500 women train to date and training will be continoue

Project 2. Constraction of Women Vocational Training Institute in Shigar

Project 3. Enhancing Women Workers their rights & labor Laws

Alshehbaz Women Organization Shigar is one of the leading NGOs of Baltistan contributed in organizing International Women’s Day by both financially and in kind. ASWO is basically working on gender equity programme, and enhancing women workers’ awareness of their rights and labor laws. ASWO is currently working in 5 Tehsils of Skardu. Through this project organizing women workers into groups and enhancing their knowledge of Labor Law and women workers from both the formal and informal sector will be brought together in one platform. Empowering women workers in Formal and Informal sectors through conducting various awareness raising sessions. ASWO is working on formation of 5 District Level Network of women workers functioning and linked with Trade Union and Labor department. It also enhanced capacity of women belonging to formal and informal sectors. District Women Protection Network (DWPN) will be functional and linked with Labor Union and provincial departments of Labor. ASWO working on raising awareness among various organizations on sexual Harassment Act and placement of women friendly HR policies at work places in the district.
